Bulk packaging company Environmental Packaging Technologies, Ltd. (EPT), will donate over a 1,000 Emergency Water Kits and 100 BIG Red Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) to assist in providing clean drinking water to the people of Haiti. The gift is being made with the help of CARE, a leading humanitarian organization located in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Emergency Water Kits and IBCs will be used to help store and distribute bulk water in various locations throughout Haiti. EPT’s Water Kits are collapsible polystyrene drums that once assembled hold 55 gallons of liquid safely and securely.
EPT’s IBCs are also collapsible polystyrene and when constructed hold 220 gallons of bulk liquid; both products shipflat to maximize shipping space and ease handling.
“EPT is proud to help. Last year we donated our BIG Red Flexitanks to help in the aftermath of the earthquake,” said Melissa Chambers, Marketing Director of Houston-based EPT. “It’s heartbreaking to know that the Haitian people are still struggling and the cholera epidemic makes the situation unfathomable.”
